In-game PS3 equivalents of 360 Achievements?

Several threads have come up with people talking about the 360 achievements. I don't think I've done anything achievement-worthy on my PS3 version, but I was wondering if the same achievements were given some kind of equivalent in the PS3 game? Basically just taking the 360 achievements and making them available on an in-game screen (ot something similar)?

I doubt it, as I've not seen anything, and I know I would have earned something by now.

Nope. Achievements are for the 360 only.

I am under the assumption that when PSN Home debuts, there will be achievement-type stuff to "decorate" your "space" (when did PS3 become the friggin sims?).

I don't know if RB is going to support this or anything though...

originally called entitlements(really lame name in the first place) PSN will introduce "trophies" when PSN Home launches. Basically when you complete a set task you will get a 3d throphy to put in your PSN Home. The throphys can be animated by the devs. Sony hasn't said anything about whether the trophies will be worth anything in eitehr the home section of the network or even teh whole PSN network.

I don't own a ps3(my roommate does though and it's attached to my tv). We'll see if it's implemented as well as achievements are. I like acheivements and I like that they are worth nothing in the network. While people still houdn for them it would get real cutthroat on the online gaming side if people wanted achievements for rewards.

You should be glad for that. It's because of MS worrying about "achievement cheaters" that they can't download gamesaves anymore. That's the only way to get roster updates on sports games without entering everything in by hand yourself.
