I want some more music fronted by lady rockers. I have acquired an interest in Blondie and Lita Ford. Can someone please tell me a good album for each to start with? :)
Here's what I'm THINKING but I'm not sure if they're the best ones to get.
Lita Ford - Lita
Blondie - Parallel Lines
What do you music peoples think?

you nailed the two picks that will net you the most songs you're already familiar with (and both are very good albums), but i prefer blondie's "eat to the beat" and lita's "stiletto".
check out all four! :)

Parallel Lines definitely. With Lita, I'd skip her solo work and just get runaways stuff. So much better.

Parallel Lines is good, but if you want Blondie's harder-rocking stuff, you should go for their self-titled.

I'll say; Lita's solo material is the epitome of mehtastic.
For Blondie though; who is an amazing band, grab.. well everything.

Parallel Lines is a good start for Blondie, but not their best

Yea, Lita had a few decent tunes per album but never managed to churn out a good top to bottom album. I agree with Sor, better off checking out her work with The Runaways.

Blondie: Eat to the Beat and Parallel Lines.
Lita Ford: any greatest hits album.

I don't know if I'm familar with any of Lita Ford's tunes she did with The Runaways. What are some good tunes to check out?
I have kinda a confession to make about the Lita album though - I've recently fallen in love with that ballad duet that she did with Ozzy that's on that album. That is partly (but by no means entirely - there's other tracks there I am interested in) why I was thinking about that one.

That album, Lita, was her biggest success and arguably best album. Certainly the most solid from top to bottom and not as many clunkers on it than her other solo stuff. I think I still have a copy of it kicking around somewhere.
As for the Runaways I dog it all but I've always really liked these

This is when I fell in love with Lita:
Kiss Me Deadly:

I expected so much more from her after that, and was sad that no more hits really materialized other than her famous duet with Ozzy on "Close My Eyes Forever." She's back on the block, though.....has anyone heard any of her new stuff?

Going from the Runaways to that always depressed me.

Yup. I love Cherry Bomb. It's still one of the songs I've been most excited about being in Rockband. Shame it's a sub-par cover. musically it's ok it's just missing all of the attitude of the band.

That one didn't bug me as much as this...

At least Kiss Me Deadly was a fun cover and it was catchy. Shot of Poison was just blecchh!
And to answer the question from earlier regarding her new stuff, far as I know her new album isn't out yet.

Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is by far the best thing to come from the wreckage of the Runaways. Bad Reputation and I Love Rock 'n' Roll are classic Hard Rock/Punk records.

Yeah, I like the Runaways a lot, but the cover just didn't seem as punk as the original. It was just missing something.

Yup. I get why a cover, I would imagine the masters have been lost over time which is a shame. Maybe at some point we'll get Joan's version of it, it rocks! For that matter hopefully any Joan. Surely Joan's masters are kicking around.
