I recently purchased the whole Boston pack, me being a Boston fan. Everything downloaded fine until I got to Hitch a Ride. When the screen said "purchasing", my wii just disconnected for no apparent reason and when I got back on to the rock store, it said purchased for Hitch a Ride. I was relieved, and proceeded to download it which seemed to work fine. The store said it was downloaded and I went to quickplay to try my songs out. However, Hitch a Ride was missing while all the other Boston songs were there and played just fine. I went back to the rock store and was astounded to see that it said only "purchased". No matter how many times I downloaded it, the song would not appear as a playable song.

I then proceeded to format my sd card and I deleted the whole Rock Band 2 pay and play data from my wii internal memory. I then painstakingly went through the process of redownloading my 25+ songs again. I was extremely upset when I STILL had the same problem with Hitch a Ride while all my other songs worked flawlessly.

I figured that the problem was not with my wii, sd card, or disc, but rather related to the song itself and how my wii disconnected when purchasing the song. In the end, I am stuck with a song that says it is purchased and that I can download however much I want, but never even play. I would not mind having lost 200 wii points if I could actually play the song, but now I can't even pay for it again! I am grateful that I can still play all my other DLC songs but it just frustrates me that I cannot play one of the songs from one of my favorite bands. If anyone can give technical advice on how to fix this, I would be extremely grateful.

On a side note, I am using the official Rock Band 2 disc, not a backup version and I have not modded my wii or anything.

Wow, thanks for the in-detail description! Looks like you've already tried alot of what I would have done.

To be honest with you, I would call NOA Support (make sure you tell them to have a tech person call you back on the issue, the CSRs know nothing)... All of the DLC/VC/WW stuff is licensed and released through them.

Sorry I can't help you more... But here is NOA's Support number: (800)255-3700

Since I can't think of any other solution, I'll give NOA a call and pray for the best. Thanks for the suggestion and info!
