A couple days ago I bought Rock Band and thought it was pretty cool. However, my guitar seemed to be skipping notes. I have had some previous experience with this interface via guitar hero so I was pretty sure it was the guitar and not me. I also realized that many other people were having problems with the strummer. I called EA and they promptly sent me one out after the guy on the phone told me they would send me a fully working and tested one. When I opened it, it was the exact same problem. I would even go as far to say that it was WORSE. There is no way that the guitar that was sent to me was tested. It is clear to me that they lie about testing guitars and then sending them out. I am going to send the same one right back out and get another one. Also, I dont know if this makes a difference, but the guitar I received was still in it's packaging so I saw that and thought that there may already be a problem.

I'm not here to defend the quality of the guitars, however you have to realize that there is no way that EA can test every guitar (nor do they claim to). And of course the guitar you received was in its packaging...what did you expect?

After 1 night with the friends over, I woke up this morning to look at my drums bass pedal, and see a big crack along the middle of it.
Immediatly after opening the box and looking at the horrible quality of the pedal i knew instantly it was going to be a problem.
People can talk all the want about being too rough , it's only a game, whatever...
I have barely gotten past "hard" dificulty and noticed the beating some of the songs require. Its not the players abusing the equipment, it's cheap and poor quality equipment that can't and never could hold up to the requirements of the game itself.
It is faulty by design. I love the game to death, but the hardware is complete toy plastic garbage. I have seen kids meals from McDonalds that have higher quality standars.
The drums bass pedal is made of plastic that is about as durable as a kids race track. You know the ones you would get for cristmas and snap together; and the first time you had to take it apart it broke? Yep that's the one!!
I would bother to send my broken pedal back for a new if I knew they were going to send me something in return of higher quality. But that isn't the case. If I send back my broekn pedal, I will get another feeble quality pedal in return that will only break in due time again.
There is no way these drum kits were tested on the hard + difficulties with no issues. I have resorted to buying a metal plate from ebay that someone posted on these forums to fix my 3 day old product.
I have no faith that I will receive a quality bass pedal in the mail, only the same flawed design.
So I will take the matter into my own hands, and if I find the guitar has the same issue, then I will probably just go buy a guitar hero guitar "xbox 36" and nip the problem in th bud there also.
The game is a great game, but the hardware is total junk. I can only hope in time they will release bigger and better hardware peices.
But then again we get stuck paying for the same thing twice, that should have been implemented in the beggining.

Actually...the guy I spoke to on the phone insisted that they do indeed test the products when you request a replacement.
