OK all.
Just wondering what the deal is with the this game and not providing a Wii version.
From what i can see from screen shots and videos the in game graphics are nothing to astounding (not that there needed for this type of game) and im assuming from what i have seen on the wii that it could easily handle it.
What i would like to know is what is the deciding factor behind Rockband not being made for the wii.
It contains all the necessary features , wireless controller inputs, bluetooth, compatible with a microphone/headset (as seen with boogie), DVD support, and hopefully the graphical power.
With the strength and momentum that the wii is moving at; at the moment it only seems like a logical choice. Not only will you target hardcore beat genre fans such as myself, the party goes, hardcore game fans in general as well as the regular players that the wii has been attracting.
EDIT...
Whilst using the search function within the site i looked for wii threads but came up with a null result, which is why i created this thread. After going through a couple of pages in threads i found a previously created wii thread and have posted there.
So whats the deal.

I do agree. The Nintendo Wii would be a great contender for this game. The Wii has a lot more to offer when it comes the range of motion for example. the player is playing drums well if Rockband were to use the already in place motion of the Wii mote and Chuck you can almost setup a real looking drum-set for the player to play on with more then just 5 notes. And with Nintendo growing fan base of gamers who aren't elite the Wii offers better chances for them. Give the wii a chance Man!!

I actually would prefer that they made wii versions of the controllers. I would love the drums.

The Harmonix CEO months ago said "absolutely" when someone asked him if there was a possibility of a Wii version eventually appearing[1]. Obviously they have targeted the 360 and PS3 first because they are the premiere next-gen systems and perhaps they want to be able to put more R&D into the Wii version rather than just make it a straight port of the 360/PS3 versions. I think everyone clamoring for a Wii version is wasting their breath- it is going to happen eventually.

Eventually .......
Good.
But at least they know people want it now and will hopefully start working on it if they have not done so all ready.

I am almost 100% sure that a Wii version has been confirmed in previous interviews (on other sites) with the HMX guys. It will be later than PS3 and XBox. Thats not to say that any decision that has been made previously is irreversible.
As I don't have a Wii I am not too concerned over any Wii versions, but it would be nice to see something running on a Nintendo platform other than Mario-insert-spin-off-name-here or Zelda 459 (or whatever they are up to now)
