Question About Fan Acquisition

A quick question about the Band World Tour mode and fans, because I haven't completely figured out yet how this works.

What I'm wondering is, if I have already completed a gig on Easy/Medium in the early starter cities, for example have I exhausted all the fans I can get from the gig? Or if I go back and redo the gig on Expert, can I still get more fans from that repeat performance at a higher difficulty level?

On a similar note, can you only get new fans from a performance ONCE per difficulty level, or can you always get new fans from a gig once you play at Expert? I was wondering if it would be possible to simply "abuse the system" by taking the "choose your setlist" option at various venues and simply playing them over and over again, or must you constantly be going out and playing new gigs in order to get new fans?

Each replay of a song on a higher difficulty level will gain you new fans.

Each replay of a song on an existing difficulty level will gain you new fans at a lower rate unless you have reached the Fan Cap for that difficulty level.

I'm not sure on the first part, but doing the same gig multiple times will give you more fans, at a decreasing rate.

I did the same gig 3 times on Hard, and got 19k, 6k, 9k on it, but I 4 starred it the first two times and 5 starred it the last one.

From that I'd assume that you can get more fans from a gig on the next level up, after you complete it on the lower level.

So it's sounding like it's still possible to get new fans from doing "choose your setlist" gigs at the various venues, provided you're always playing at Expert? We've already hit the cap and are being a little more choosy about gigs now, because while I can play at Expert, I'm one of those folks that has a lot of trouble with the final tier songs, and the wife is a decent Hard/Expert singer, but there are some songs that still elude her.

But if we can still get new fans by just playing at previous gigs or gigs that let you choose the tracks, and we take on only the songs we both know we can handle on Expert, then this should keep things moving at a decent though slower clip.
