Scenario: Im in Best Buy by the World Tour and Rock Band 2 set-ups. I talk to a kid playing World Tour.
"Why are you playing World Tour instead of Rock Band?"
"Guitar Hero's better."
"Why do you say that?"
"Because it's Guitar Hero. It's better. Besides, Rock Band is a rip-off of Guitar Hero."
*I pause, dumbfounded*
"Alright, what about the songs?"
"Are you kidding? Guitar Hero has way better songs, and Rock Band is way too easy."

At this point, I simply walked away. If this is what represents Activision and Guitar Hero ( And it basically is. ) that is just laughable. I mean - really? Busting out some stupid reasons as to why GHWT > RB.

RB2 is more difficult than WT.

Having a timing window that doesn't stretch up half the fretboard helps too.

Talking to a friend of mine a while ago, who, got totally ****ed at me for mentioning the words Rock Band:

"Yes it is, I went over to my friend's house and tried every song on every instrument, even the songs that were downloadable, and they were all too easy."

Guitar Hero likely has more radio hits, but it's hard to deny Rock Band covers more ground genrewise, including Shoegaze, Riot Grrrr, Extreme Metal, Ska (not No Doubt), and noise.
