Is there any rhyme or reason to what clothes/accessories/instruments are unlocked as you play through Solo Tour and Band World Tour?

I know that you get a city-based shirt the first time you play a gig in a city in BWT, and I'm pretty sure that you get a silver/gold instrument for completing Solo Tour on easy/medium respectively, but I'm less clear how the other items work in Solo Tour, or if there are more unlockables in BWT (haven't played too much of that yet).

For those that completed Solo Tour on medium, then again on hard, did you unlock anything new when you went through on hard?

What else do you get playing through BWT?

Just curious, because I don't want to buy something if I know I can get it as an unlockable.

Hard guitar and Medium drums both awarded a gold instrument at completion, so it's probably for every difficulty level.

The silver instrument is awarded for completing the Bonus songs.

The unlockables, while a little bit different for each character (only sponsor tshirts like Zildjian for the drummer, etc. are different) appear to unlock in the same order. I know that my singer, guitarist, and drummer were all awarded the Rock Hunter outfit (all three pieces) in the same tier...probably on the same songs, but I played them far enough apart not to be positive about that.

I have not unlocked any additional clothing items in BWT since completing the solo tour. I would suggest completing the solo tour first just in case the item you want is awarded for free, then buy whatever else you need afterwards.

Thrashdragon -- that would make sense about the silver/gold instruments, and I've completed drums and guitar on medium, so I may as well start spending if there's nothing to unlock in BWT other than the city shirts (female Moscow Uprising is my fave so far - it looks cool, and it shows off the tummy tats, hehe)

tf5_bassist -- thanks! :)

As of last night, I can confirm that the transparent instruments are awarded after completing the Hall of Fame Induction Concert.

Since the thread I started has fallen to the 100th page, and this thread kind of relates, I'll ask again here. Does anyone know what, if anything, you get for beating the Endless Setlist?

I just beat it on the PS3 version, so there's no achievement, but I thought you would get something else in-game too.

I think in solo mode there's a shirt or peice of clothing for every song you beat. Atleast that's what it looks like to me. There's also city shirts and Transparent instruments in BWT and the gold/silver instruments people have been talking about. Maybe we should make like, an unlock database so we know what exactly gets unlocked at each thing.

I have no idea if there's anything for the endless setlist.

I thought your character goes all shiny.

I thought your character goes all shiny.

That would be awesome... especially if you could pick what color of shiny

Interesting, I'll take a look. I actually haven't played a single song yet in BWT since finishing the Endless Setlist, so maybe that's what it is.

It didn't seem like it was something for every song, but I wasn't keeping track. But between the clothes, accessories, and instruments, perhaps.

I completed the Hall of fame with vocals/bass, vocals/guitar, and vocals/drums by myself. I unlocked the clear microphone, bass, and guitar. But It didn't unlock clear drums, is it because I didn't get a certain amount of stars?

My wife and I have been working for a couple of months with just one of our bands to see what all you get to unlock playing band world tour on XBOX 360.

Here is what we have found so far:

2 city shirts are available for each city you play in. You get the first when you play there the first time, you get the second one once you complete every set in that city.

When you complete the Hall of Fame set, you get the clear instruments (I have played it twice to get the clear bass and clear guitar, but I had to do it with two different bands).

Once you complete the endless set list, your icons are inverted if played thru on medium, gold on hard and platinum on expert. (The icon that references which instrument you character plays, drum, guitar or microphone)

Other than the two city shirts and the clear instruments, you don't win anything else. Play thru the solo tour on your respective instrument to win all the free stuff as far as shirts, outfits and other prizes. You must play thru on at least medium to unlock all the free items.

We still haven't finished the Band World Tour yet, so we aren't sure if you get anything additional once you play your last set. I'll edit this post if we unlock anything new.

I strongly recomend this. Not only do you get all the free stuff, but you get a decent amount of money to buy additional things.

I also don't think you get something from every song in the solo world tour.. Just a large fraction of them.

I've finished every song in every venue in band world tour, and you don't unlock anything by doing so just so everybody knows.

Depending on the difficulty, your instrument icon will turn from black into bronze, silver, gold, or platinum (easy->expert, respectively).

Wrong wrong wrong. You can't do the ESL on easy, and the icons go inverted, gold, platinum for medium, hard, expert, respectively.
