non comapatability!

So I purchased the game rock band today not the special edition just the game itself for the PS3. Irushed home and popped in in the ps3 and found that the GH3 Les Paul is not compatible with rock band. Correct me if I am wrong but this would also mean the only compatible controller is the one that comes with the special edition, right? GH2 from PS2 is not compatible with ps3 right? So this game is being sold with out a compatible controller? Sound shady; very shady indeed! Is this just a ridiculous money making scheme or are they working to fix the issue via a patch of some sort?:mad:

dont need to be rude about it. obviously some people dont go on a website for a game before buying it in stores. he ended up here because he ran into a problem and went online to find a solution or if others had the same issue.

but yeah, you're SOL for now.

Well yes I read previous threads and did not see anything about any kind of patch in the works that is why I asked. If responding to questions is to much for someone to handle maybe the should resign themselves to being to good for everone else and just stay off of the TECH SUPPORT forum. Is the very existance of forums not to discuss issues and possible solutions; as oppossed to a place for the holly rollin gaming snobs to belittle other users of less than god like stature? No need to be a jerk man just trying to clarify what I had already read. Don't worry though it is dinks like you that turm people away from great places like this.

There are two solutions for you.:D

1. Get rid of the POS PS3, and get a real system ie. XBox 360:eek:
2. Wait until extra hardware is released, sometime in '08.:mad:

Just Kidding, but really the compatibility issue, has been everywhere, not only here, but some, if not most game reviews are updating their information... But sorry man that sucks...:eek:

id suggest attempting to return the game from the store and explain that it said it should work with the other guitars, but doesnt, so you cant even play the game. dont let them give you the "well you can still use a microphone and sing" excuse.

the reason why i think you should try and return it is because you probably wont have a hard time picking up the disc only, ever. when the strat is released for sale separately, you never know, they may end up selling a strat/game package saving you a few bucks. if not, you can rebuy the game and a strat separately. no sense holding on to a game you cant play. it's not like theyre gonna raise the price on it.

also keep checking this site for updates. they may very well fix the compatibility issue between the les paul guitars and RB. no guarantees though.

on the game site i always use, on their rock band forum that question gets asked at least twice a aday for the ps3. and no it doesnt work. only for the xbox 360. i dont mind answering though.
