I didn't think it was a good idea the first time... good music is too broad to be pigeonholed into any one decade.

I wouldn't mind seeing some DLC for specific decades, however, GH: 80's was just terrible. There were only two songs I enjoyed playing on the whole thing. I know HMX would do a much better job picking out the tracks.

I'd go for it, especially as a DLC based expansion pack. That way they wouldn't feel obligated to load up the disc with songs that only SORTA work just to get the count up to justify a full retail release... instead of 20 meh and 15 good, we could just buy 15 good and be done with it.
I love 80s music, as evidenced by my embarassingly large iPod playlist labeled "1980". It's tricky finding ones that didn't have primary synth melody, but Rock Band could do a better job of it than Guitar Hero given its broad spectrum of instruments.

I'm hoping that we don't even get anymore RB retail discs until they make RB2 with more instruments or something. With DLC, there really isn't a point. Maybe some PS2 expansion discs to help those folks get a crack at the DLC songs, but I would rather just pay the 10 bucks or whatever for the 5 songs outta "Rocks the 80's" I actually liked, than 50 bucks for a buncha crappy and obscure 80's tracks.
But some 80's DLC packs would be killer!

Which is why we need a Keytar for RB2!!!
If anything for the aforementioned 80's tracks and the bulk of Nine Inch Nails songs.

We got Synchronicity II. I mean 80s flavored DLC isn't asking for much.
A game is.

Keytar = Guitar with no strumming. Easily done. It's no worse than Beatmania's 5 key mode, and would work fine without us needing to buy more instruments. I suspect they'd want a BM style 7 key, with white/black keys interspersed, for authenticness... but it COULD be done with some minor software upgrades.
I think there's enough rock songs with piano and synth moments that they could justify a new peripheral.

GH:80's was made by Harmonix.............................
