Why does she always use the guide tracks for vocals?
I mean, I can see that at home, but for the demo, it just seems less than impressive
Her vocals are fine, and I understand nervousness as a performer myself, but it just seems....unprofessional
Is there something just not ready yet in the game that requires that?
I'm not trying to rag, I'm just curious. One of the reasons SingStar is such crap is that they don't let you eliminate the vocals, and I know, Harmonix, being respecting of the rock made that an option from the get-go
And please, let us turn off all vocal processing in RB as well. The karaoke reverb effect never sounds good

I think I'd prefer to keep the original track playing at the same time I'm singing. No one will know all the songs so your gonna need to be able to hear it most of the time.

The point is that you can turn it off, or on at will, and I'm asking why she's performing with it on. Given that this is supposed to be a demo that looks sweet and professional. Yes you turn it on when you learn the song, but you turn it off later
On/Off everyone is happy
It's more of their presentation choices I'm asking about. Even songs I've performed with a "karaoke" backing, I wouldn't have guide vocals when I'm doing a show

Are you talking about the lyrics?

It didnt really have to look professional, it had to look fun. People want to see stuff they know they'll enjoy. Imagine what the average person would have said if there was no backing track. They'd be freaking out that they're not going to be able to hear the actually singing when they play.

I seriously doubt they'd ever even notice, since her voice would be singing.

I'd rather youb hear the original vocalist along with it.

I like her attitude. If wasnt until seeing her in these videos that I realized she was the lead singer for Vagiant (they have a song in GH2).

She's also the producer(I think co) of GH2, and Rock Band.

I'm going to go along and say I hope there is an option to turn it off. If there is one thing to be learned from the videos, it's that even if you are slightly off in harmonizing with the original track it's going to sound like crap. It's great to have them there to learn, but I want the ability to turn it off. And heck, if you don't want to turn them off, then don't. That's why they are options ;-) More options is always better.

The amazing thing to me was how loud it was in the hall and the mic she was using wasn't picking up all that extra noise. Sounds like a quality product to me.
