The button that you turn the drums and guitar on,when i press it nothing happens.I have to wait for the game to load up, and then they turn on.
Also my drums and guitar can't be player one.I have to turn the wii remote on first considering i have to wait for the game to load for the instruments to turn on, and the guitar and drums are automatically player two and three....even thoungh im not using the mic.Does the Mic have to be first even when ur not using it? Plz answer my questions i just got the game yesterday and it makes me upset....

Yeah, that's how the controllers work, I guess. Is it really that important to be considered player one? If you're using the guitar or drums, the Wii remote will shut off by itself eventually, so you don't have to worry about wearing out batteries.

Because the Wii itself doesn't recognize the guitar or drum, so the drivers for the guitar and drums need to be loaded with the software. The mic has the same problem too, it just doesn't have a controller to tell you it's not working.

This is also why you can't use them with other games (most notably the GH games, where you might actually want to). Those games didn't include drivers for the RB controlers.

My only annoyance was if I had a GH guitar and RB guitar in RB2, the GH guitar was always the player on the left of the screen if both were playing. But that's a minor issue.

Player 1 has no bearing on anything in the actual game though.

That's probably because the Wii remote that is in the GH guitar is recognized by the Wii before the game is started unlike the RB guitar, so Rockband recognizes that Wii remote first and then the RB guitar.

It's because the Wii itself recognizes Wiimotes first, so the RB instruments have to know to be bumped aside.

So if/when Mad Catz releases their microphone with built in buttons for the Wii, do you think the controller part would still work in the Wii Menu?

Chances are they won't (It'd require a motion and RF sensor), but if they did, it'd act like any other wii controler. You can only have 4 controllers total active (counting guitars and drums). So you'd need to use ONLY that controller on the mic if you didn't want to trump another controller, and it'd be player 1 unless another wiimote was active before it.

And the bumping part I noticed before I ever had GHWT. I'd accidentally activate a second Wiimote, and my guitar and drum would change player numbers. The Wiimote/official Nintendo controllers attach to the Wii first, the others are tacked on to the end. It's also why they don't show up in the home menu.
