So does anyone else hate those people who join your online band and act like they are the ****?

like tonight my friend came over to my house and was playing his character, and this user comes on... i cant exactly remember his name, but when i do find it i will post it.

but anyways, he starts bashing on my friends character, and begins calling him a *** and stuff... not after like 5 seconds.

dude... so i basically whoop his ass on drums and he starts talking crap about me, saying i sound like a girl on the mic and stuff.

who else has gotten stuff like this? please tell me your experiences and what your insight about it is.

This is why I don't even hook up a mic when I'm online...it'd be way too easy to flip my sh!t and get into a screaming match with one of these fools.

It's easier to just grin and bear it...knowing full well that the world is truly full of big-mouthed idiots.

I only make fun of people who I get random in quickplay whenever they leave whenever I pick Panic Attack to test deyz skeelz.

Then they rejoin, and I pick Almost Easy. They stay :(

Rock Band online is the same as everything online: People are gonna be douchebags because of the anonymity. Best thing to do is find some sweet people (around here's a good way) and play with them, instead of wading the sea of idiots that random can be.

I played against a kid (sounded like a kid....definitely acted like a kid) a couple of days ago who was sh!t-talking up a storm. Sad thing was that he was really good.

I'm not exactly the worlds best drummer....but I can usually hold my own - or at least make a good showing. This kid was whippin' me repeatedly. I beat him once (barely, on an easy song) out of 5 or 6 songs.

I wanted to tell him that if he'd just shut-up and win with grace, he'd get mad respect. But instead he just kept running his mouth - making himself look like an ass.

XD

Was his name MPWN Assassin? Id cry if it was my little brother (Out of laughter.), but he doesnt ****-talk because he thinks it makes him cool or anything, he just wants to see what people say.

He got this gangsta on GTA IV screaming at the top of his lungs at him once before. It was funny.

Coulda been. Don't take this the wrong way, but is your little brother a redneck? (I mean that in the kindest possible way, of course!)

Maybe what I should say is: the young man in question had a southern accent...are you from the south?

Yea... I don't talk on the mic in any game at all unless I'm a party with some friends. I generally run into respectful people (who also have DLC), so it's not too big of an issue for me. Just stick to parties or don't talk, works pretty well for me.

XDDD

That might of been my little brother. He was messing around if so. He is really good at RB drums, and runs around yelling like a redneck to see what people say (He is from NY, so, he does not have a southern accent.)

Mmm...I think this kid had a 'for real' southern accent. It wasn't uber-twangy, just kind of a drawl. And this kid was probably mid-teens.

He was also going off big time about Keith Moon being 'the man' and that Travis Barker was a ***! Not sure what made him assume I was a Barker fan (I'm not....at all)....or maybe he just really dislikes him??

Anyway, even if it's not your brother, tell him to quit being such a jerk while he's kickin' everyone's ass! LOL. Save it for GTA! ;)

Actually, his southern accent if pretty spot-on. We live in Virginia, so we get hear it a lot.

Anyways, It wasnt him I guess. He likes Keith Moon, but he has never been freaking out about him. He does hate Travis Barker though.

I guess it could have been him!

Who knows....if the 'Players Met' function actually worked on PS3, I would just look up the acct name. But that's a completely separate 'whine-thread'!

Anyway, at least he didn't pull the whole 'female character' gag. I played against (what appeared to be) a girl the other day. There wasn't any voice chat until after 'she' finally won a song -- then, of course, I hear the mic click on and then some dude says, "How does it feel to lose to a girl??" Idiots.

I got the wii so that isn't even an option for me. But there are some jerks out there who will join a game on your tour and then not play a note.

When did it happen? My little brother was at my dad's house until Monday evening, then we came home, and we have RB2 on the PS3 over there.

Err, I can't remember for sure....could have been Monday afternoon.

I'm trying to think if he said anything else that would help identify him...but I don't remember anything. I can't even remember which songs we played.

I know I had first pick - and I hit 'random' - and we got something pretty easy (hell, I've got 530 +/- song, I can't remember them all!) That was the only song I won. Later, I know he talked me into choosing the latest AAR song (Real World?). And the last song he picked was WGFA....and it wasn't pretty (not one of my stronger songs)!

Well, he can 5 star everything but Panic Attack on drums...

rgdrafting
02-20-2009, 03:22 PM
Yeah, I can 5 star probably 90% (of the songs I've got). Then there's a handful that I am pretty close to 5*, a handful that I'm just a solid 4*, a handful that I can only beat sporadically, and a half dozen songs I just plain can't beat (yet)!

That's about how I played against him too.....it very well could have been him. Small world, I guess.
