And it won't void your warranty!

My pedal has 2 cracks in it one goes half way across the pedal, waiting for the RMA, I took 2 of those pads you put on furniture to protect your wood floors and just stuck them below the weak spot. When RMA time comes, I can just pull them off.
I have been playing for 4-5hrs ( on expert so you know I'm hammering the thing haha) with this and my cracks have not gotten any worse.
When my replacement comes, I'll just stick these on again and I should be golden.
It should be pretty clear why this works. When the pedal is fully pressed down, it contacts these pads and prevents the pedal from bending at the weak spot which seems to be where most peoples pedals break. Luckily the pads were the perfect thickness when 2 of them were stacked, just enough to relieve the stress and not to much to prevent it from working.

I imagine you could also cut a sponge for the same purpose...

They are not asking for the old pedals back, so a more permanant repair would be a better long term fix, and when you get the new one, reinforce it from the "Git Go".

They wanted mine back. I specifically asked about that. They said I would be charged if I didn't send it back.

The wanted mine back, too. That's why I decided to come up with the woodrockpedal fix.

You know, if you put your entire foot on the pedal instead of resting your heel on the stationary pedal base, you won't be having these breakage issues.

I had a supervisor from EA contact me so i could ask him a few questions and while we were talking he mentioned to me that they weren't asking for the drum pedals back anymore. When you think about it, all they can do with the broken pedals is throw them away and by not asking for them to be returned and not sending you a return shipping label they are having the cost of shipping for all these replacements. "They are bass pedals, your supposed to step on it, they break," quoted from this guy. :p

That sounds logical, but the warranty page still says you either have to send the thing back first in the empty box, or have the $125 put on hold until they get your old pedal. My pedal's about to give out, but I don't want to put the $125 on hold, and my guitar's already lost in the bowels of EA's warranty system, so I won't be able to play at all if I send the pedal in first. Is there some other way to get them to just send you a replacement pedal?
