Maybe the PS2 doesn't have the processing power necessary to do 2 guitars, drums, and vocals all at the same time?

Or maybe the GameCube, PS2, and Xbox are dead systems? Next-gen consoles have been out for almost 2 years now. I think it might be time to move on and ditch the old hardware. If Harmonix were to develop Rock Band with current-gen systems in mind, do you know how limited in scope and features Rock Band would be?

The ps2 is most definitely not a dead system. It still has high sales and is played by millions of people.

You are right however that this game is only suited at next gen consoles.

Solution: Save up over the next 4 or 5 months and get a next gen console for the release of Rock Band... that's my plan
