Hell yes, I'm all for albums of Aerosmith as DLC. Really, how can you go wrong with Aerosmith? What's not to like about a band who most of their songs are about sex?

Mama Kin would be my first choice. Maybe Same Old Song and Dance, Sweet Emotion, Walk this Way or Back in the Saddle could round out a pack. Please nothing from the 80s or beyond and no ballads.

What's so special about Aerosmith?!? Obviously you have never seen them in concert. It's magical. Steve Taylor and Joe Perry, there is nothing better when it comes to great rock.
I guess they're not everyones cup of tea, but they really are the U.S.'s greatest rock band. I am not just saying that because they are my favorite band, because actually Slash is my favorite guitarist so usually my favorite band has to do with him. Velvet Revolver is great but still not as good as GNR, so as far as a band goes I guess Aerosmith would actually be my favorite. It's so hard to choose they are both so great.:D

It's actually Steven Tyler, but yeah...the point stands: seeing them in concert takes their music to a whole different level.

If we were going to pick well-known songs, you'd have to have a 3-pack of Dream On, Sweet Emotion and Walk This Way to please the casual crowd.

Couldn't have said it any better. My wife is the FAN...I am a former musician. I am 40+ and during the early-mid 80s basically lived at the local coliseum taking in 10+ concerts a year from 1982-87. If they are metal from that time period, i've seen'em.

Was dragged to see Aerosmith on the Nine-Lives tour...OMFG! It was all I could do to keep from charging the stage to fight at the front like the old days. They were freakin inCREDIBLE!!!

Best part was...since i am old...i made my wife just sit and wait, let the crowd exit, get to their cars and get almost home before I wanted to leave. The crew was hard at work breaking down the stage and out comes Steven Tyler with a towel around his neck...we waved to him and be damned if he didn't come over and talk with us...his voice was shot too, hehehe.

I was kewl about it (it wasn't my first rodeo...), but my wife was freakin OUT...hands shaking and crap. He laughed and talked with us for about 5 mins and the road manager called him and he had to leave...it was awesome!

I'd heard they were really cool and that just proved it to me...i am a fan now.

One thing I don't get is how can some people say they only like early Aerosmtih? Sure, over the years their sound has changed a little, more like refined, but it's still the same old Aerosmith.

If nothing else give'em props for still making the music they do at their age and the lives they've lived. It's an amazement that Steven Tyler is still alive considering all the drugs he's done. Yet he's still capable of singing the way he does, which is F'ing crazy. And Joe Perry still plays the guitar like nobodies' business.

I was listening to Nine Lives the other day and thought, "hell I'd buy this album as DLC, or at least a song pack of it as long as it has Pink."

Is Aerosmith exclusive to Guitar Hero? They did put out a whole game with them! Sucks for Aerosmith though, based on the GH3 game it has no bass/drums/vocals.

GHIII(and even II) had bass/rhythm guitar. But I fail to see how that sucks for Aerosmith in any way. Mainly because they made more from GHA than any album.

It's not a matter of convincing, it's that Aerosmith signed a deal with GH to put their songs exclusively on their games. Therefore RB can't get any of their songs. Same reason we won't see any Eagles songs.

Really sucks for the Eagles if true.... to only get 3 songs in a game does not seem to be a reason to go exclusive....

Aerosmith probably made out good financially with their deal with GH. But in the end it may hurt them as that game is already obsolete. Does anyone know how long their exclusivity is for?

And for the record I would love to have both Aerosmith and The Eagles in Rock Band.
