So my guitar was boned from day one. Overdrive kicks in whenever it wants to. the strum bar is unreliable. the whammy feels looser than a "professional woman" on two fer tuesdays, and the red fret sticks sometimes. so i decided it might be a good idea to get it replaced. smart, huh? so um yeah i just got my coffin to send it back cuz i saw too many posts about the express replacement taking too long, and i dont want my money being held up for who knows how long. a buddy of mine said that i'd be getting a totally different model guitar. i looked at him like he'd sprouted a third eye and told him he was damaged and way off with that bit of info. it was my understanding that it was the same model, but just one that was made after the first batch that had all the defects. we argued for a good 20 minutes and then i decided to hop on here and ask people that had two brain cells to rub together.
will i be getting a new model all together? or will i get the same kind i have now, but hopefully without all the defects?
how say you?

supposedly, the replacement guitars are of a different, more reilable design.
