I've seen a Rickenbacker bass before. They're pretty sweet.

I'm personally of the opinion that it's foolish to completely devote yourself to one brand, as there are times i'd rather use a Strat or Tele, and there are times I'd rather use a Les Paul or 335. But, generally I lean towards Fenders as my go to guitar.

This pole is just about the one you PREFER (or like better, as it says). Of course I wouldn't devote myself to just one company.

I understand that, and I'm sorry if I didn't make clear that this wasn't particularly directed at you, as it seems you have an educated preference. It's just one of my pet peeves when people who have no idea what they're talking about make blanket statements like "Gibson is waayyy better than Fender" or vice-versa.

I prefer Fender, even though I'm currently saving for an SG.

I'ver always been a Gibson or Ibanez player. Fender's , while I like their tonality, just don't feel right in my hands somehow.

Yeah, I like their guitars too, and in my opinion they make a pretty cool double neck guitar.

I'm planning on getting a Rickenbacker bass when I'm more satisfied with my playing, and when I have more money.

I'm not dedicated to one brand, Rickenbackers just have the tone I like. I have a Fender bass that, while not the greatest bass, I like to play it.(I should since it's my only bass.:D) Gibson, while their Gibson Ripper is cool don't have what I need in terms of tone.

I prefer gibson, but I've only owned fenders, ibanez, epiphone and a samick.

Both have thee good points. I personally don't like the Strat, but I o like the Telecaster. Like Les Pauls and SG's more. For Bass though, Fender all the way. J and P's are awesome.

I like Gibsons. I just prefer Les Pauls over Fender Strats, sorry.

"Sorry?" lol. I personally like them almost equally (Excluding Jacksons), except the strat is my favorite guitar in the world, and Tele's have such a unique sound to them.

#1 : Fender
2: Jackson
3: Gibson
