Just wanted to get an idea. How many bassists have we got on the forum? If you do play, feel free to share what bass you own and your favorite song to play on.

Im a amateur, been playing for since September, only have a Red Squire Jazz Bass. Hey, it still plays.

I do play bass occasionally, and always when online so that the little brats can pretend to lead.

On bass, I like Peace Sells, Pump it Up, Ace of Spades, also Hungry Like the Wolf is still as fun as ever.

Well, my friend has a few guitars including a bass, I experiment with it but nothing too much.

I play a red Schecter Stiletto Custom-4. I play in a classic rock cover band, so not a whole lot of interesting bass parts with the band. I love all the standard bass player stuff like Higher Ground, Schism, Winona's Big Brown Beaver, She's Only 18, etc. My favorite tune's to play with the band though are definitely the one's where I have tons of room to stretch my legs, like anything by The Who. Also the ending of Comfortably Numb lends itself to improvised bass licks pretty well.

Many of my friends in high school got basses (not sure why always bass instead of guitar.) Those basses then proceeded to sit in their rooms on a stand and collect lots of dust, usually.

I have a Epiphone Gibson Bass. Its a beginner bass and I've had it for around 6 years but I'm gonna get a new one this summer. My favorite song to play is London Calling, suprising I know

I have had my bass for more than a year now I think, but I didn't really get serious with playing with it until July of 08. The bass in question is the standard black Squire Fender Jazz for beginners. I'll put my favorite stuff to play/stuff I'm learning down below.

Most fun to play:Sole Survivor(BOC)/ Godzilla(BOC)/Limelight(Rush, if you want an easy Rush bass riff, that's the one to pick).
