This is something I've been wondering for a long time, but never really cared about because it didn't apply to me (until now).
I bought a Rock Band 1 drum kit back in July when I bought the game. I've had little to no issues with the thing until today, when my bass pedal snapped.
Now, I'm obviously out of the 60 day warranty period to get it replaced, so what am I supposed to do? My options are a) Pay $30 for a possibly used/broken one on ebay, b) pay $75 for a premium pedal, or c) spend an hour or so trying to fix it myself.
So, the question is: why don't you guys sell standalone pedals? I would love to just pay you guys for a new one. Is there a reason, or is it just some sort of oversight?

There are fairly inexpensive drum pedal fixes on EBay, in the $20 range if I'm not mistaken. I bought one for my RB1 pedal before it could snap and have never had a problem with it.
They're basically aluminum plates you screw onto the existing pedal and you can also get hinge fixes, a heel plate that is used to connect a strip of plastic to the pedal.

You're missing some options:
Best Buy sells two cheaper replacements.
1. The BlockHead Hit Kit includes a stock-like pedal ($20).
2. The BlockHead Rhythm Maker is more similar to the high-end pedals made from actual bass pedals ($30).
Also, the Rock Pedal is only $50 to my knowledge and has excellent reviews and customer support.

I shoulda been a little more complete with the options. I got focused on fixing!

I'm definitely going to be fixing my pedal on my own pedal, I was more just curious as to why Harmonix doesn't sell pedals. I mean, it's essentially free money. They already make the product, so it's just a matter of shipping them out when orders come in.

This would make too much sense. After all, these are the people who give you a tech-support forum that does not actually offer any tech support.

There are a number of people on this forum, who regularly provide technical support, that is useful and appreciated.
Unlike your posts, that seem to have little to do with 'tech support'.
