IF they ever EVER EVERRRRRRRRR put killswitch's cover of holy diver on this game i am throwing it in the trash. and that goes for any other bands cover of it. NEVER!

only Dio may rock that song. and maybe the D could get away with it... but NO ONE else.

no offense to killswitch. but they are far far far far from a band that deserves to cover the master himself. in fact i can think of maybe 3 who might be worthy. but still fall short.

I got to agree. If that song makes it in the game, It needs to be from Ronny James, not someone covering it.. That would be like them putting The Used/MCR version of Under Pressure in (which is not a good idea either....at all).

I would like to see system in, older stuff though not their new garbage. Maybe a mudvayne song too... The rest though are clear channel radio metal. Too overproduced and shoved out there IMO.

Apparently when I go to a ROCK concert im really going to a metal concert then lol. I've seen some of these bands and they are ROCK. I agree on Holy Diver, I just heard it from that band, it just gets stuck in my head thats all, and it would be fun to sing!!!

I also know all those bands aren't strictly rock, but come on how fun would it be to play some of those. Bands that people would actually listen to on a continuous basis. Thats what I want.

I have no problem with putting ANYTHING into RB, but i dunno how most of this would work honestly. I know most of these bands are rather fond of their double bass pedals, so either unless they dumb down the drums or release bands like these as a side disc with a different bass pedal (possible since the pedal plugs in)... either way, i probably wouldn't buy it, but others would and i'm not going to be one of those many dicks on these forums to attempt to deny people :D

because back in his day, you had to walk 15 miles in the snow, uphill! In the june! they had winter in summer because that year the nazis stole the sun! but anyway, they walked it, just to listen to the radiophone and hear whatever played that was popular, and since they had to do all that work...it was better. somehow, ridiculous story aside, listening to popular music of the past makes you too cool to enjoy popular music now.

i guess it also makes you a poor judge of age too :p

i'm not a huge fan of any of these suggestions, but i still think any type of rock has it's place. well, except nickleback... but that's a given. oh and most creed, but i'm pretty open to almost anything else

If they even put HALF the bands you just listed I would probably die from happiness. I could only imagine how fun it would be to play/sing Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, Korn, possibly Crossfade and hell... Rise Against would be pretty damn crazy (Prayer of the Refugee anyone?)

Although I definitely like the 90s and 80s rock that Rock Band has on it (Metallica, RHCP, etc.), I would love to see some of the modern rock that has become some of my top played songs on iTunes.

I'm confused. Punk, Ska, Grunge, Industrial, Emo, Screamo, Hardcore, Metal & all the other genres in between are still just different forms of ROCK!! I thought that was common sense. Oh and Chevelle formed 5 years before A Perfect Circle so the rip off theory just went out the window. Do your research before you spew this garbage.

you're kidding me right? I have a Three Days Grace CD you can HAVE...I listened to it three times looking for a reason not to shove a pencil in my ear over it and im still looking for one... It wouldnt be worth the loss of hearing though. Linkin Park i agree with, godsmack...ok, Disturbed and SOAD...good, even mudvayne. Korn is overrated, i wish ppl didnt have such a hard-on for them. Even if they can play, they tune so low as to create muddy sounding lulls that the parts are not even discernible. The only passable songs would be from Issues album or before.

I mostly agree but this thread is implying that the music in the RockBand setlist(Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Bowie etc etc) isn't real rock but bugglegum nu metal is. Surely you see the absurdity in that? Thats all I'm saying.

About Chevelle lol, I'd really like to hear what they sounded like before Judith came out..got any links? (wait nvm you seem to have a rule against spewing forth garbage on these forums :D)

I'm sorry you people are stuck in the yesterday rock bands that would be considered the same thing in their day, but now 20 years later all of a sudden they rock!! no, led zeppelin is good because of great guitar solos and incredible singing. korn and linkin park arent. it has nothing to do with the time period.

i push for modern bands personally. i could care less about bands from 20 years ago, but these pieces of garbage arent the only things out there right now.
