Backwards compatible?

Hey. I have Guitar Hero 1-3 on the PS2, along with their respective controllers. However, for Christmas, I'm going to get a PS3 and Rockband on it. Can I use the Guitar Hero PS2 controllers for Rockband on the PS3, or will I need to get 2 Rockband PS3 guitars for it?

No the PS2 Guitars do not work with RB, at least not with my PS2 to USB adapter they don't. Green button does nothing, Red button does what the Green button should do. When you try to join the band though, give you a message about there not being a mic attached for vocals. :mad:

You know there is a PS2 version of the game coming out on the 12th though :)

You can also NOT use your Strat controllers from RB on GH2/3 on the Xbox360. They don't work.

The RB Strat Controller does not work on the GH3 for the PS2. No lights on the dongle :(

At the present time NO guitar works with RB, other than the one that comes in the box. Right now, your only option is to wait until stand-alone guitars come out in January.

Or you can do what I'm doing, and return the damn thing and tell EA to kiss your ass!
