There's nothing you can do about that, the save game file for RB/RB2 is copy-protected.

found this on another forum...

"From bitter personal experience (My 60GB died and I got a warranty replacement from Sony) I can confirm that Devil May Cry 4 will lock you out of your Network settings in the game if you attempt to use your game data on another console. I can also confirm (and this nearly made me weep) that Rock Band will SELF-DELETE if it finds itself being accessed from another console.

I didn't know about NG Sigma. Someone really should compile a list of these games."

IS that true!!!!??

So according to this from the PS3 site...all Rockband has to do is un-flag the save data as un-exportable!!!

The PLAYSTATION 3 system's Backup Utility feature can be used to create a back-up of all data from the PLAYSTATION 3 system's Hard Disk Drive (HDD) on a removable storage media (such as, USB storage device, MemoryStick™, SD Memory Card, or CompactFlash®). This feature can also be used to restore data that has already been backed up.

Note: Requires PLAYSTATION 3 system software update version 1.32 or later.

Please note that the following copy-protected content will not be transferable:

Digital Right Management (DRM)
PlayStation® format software game data
PlayStation®2 format software game data
PLAYSTATION®3 format software Game Save Data flagged as unexportable

Please note that content purchased from the PLAYSTATION®Store can be redownloaded from the PlayStation®Network download list and does not need to be backed up. Click here for instructions on how to access your previously purchased content.
