Just wanted to know if anyone knew anything that is going on with the ps2 special edition. Yesterday i went to gamestop to reserve it, and they said they weren't doing that anymore, and its not even on their website anymore.:eek:

Last I heard, it got bumped from December 11th to December 18th. I don't have a real confirmation on that, though--that was just stated in one of the threads yesterday. (Amazon still lists it as releasing on the 11th.)

I think they may be holding off on taking pre-orders because they don't feel like the release date is firm.

I ordered my ps2 package from Amazon and it still says its going to be shipped on the 11th.

I think harmonix said awhile ago that it was pushed back to the 18th. I ordered from Amazon when it was still the 11th. Amazon never updated their site.

I'm actually considering shelling out $50 for the stand-alone version so my friends and I can play guitar/bass with my PS2 controllers.

Some part of my brain says to be patient and wait for the PS3 issues to be worked out, but the rest of it thinks it would be awesome.

GameStop here told me that I wouldn't be able to find the bundle (360) anywhere, but I shopped around and ended up buying it online from Wal-Mart, not my favorite method, but it got it to me on Monday.

What I'm saying is, maybe your local GameStop could only allow for the pre-order of so many copies, and they've hit that cap. Try somewhere else, like FYE (if you have one).
