i took the cover off and it takes batteries Y? can some help me out

Same body and shell are used for both the PS3 and 360 versions. PS3 version is wireless and uses batteries. 360 version does not need them, but has it there because the PS3 does and they didn't want to make two totally different shells.

isn't a wireless 360 version coming out in a couple months? Could have sworn I read that somewhere.
