Anyone else interested in this? I know it's going to happen sometime in March and it's going to put a temporary end to every Batman series on the market followed up by a mini-series called "Battle for the Cowl" in which a new person will take up the mantle. I don't normally read Batman but I may pick up the mini series to see who the new Batman is.

Bruce Wayne should be an old man by now he's been around so long. I don't think he should die until we get "Batman: The Geriatric Years" where he needs to save the nursing home from bad food. People will put up the bat signal to alert him to this and he will take a while to put on his suit, and then shuffle down the hallway with his cane and save the day! :D
Seriously though, I can't imagine a non-Bruce Wayne Batman, so I'd be curious to see what happens with that.

I'm definitely intrigued enough to give it a read.
Is this the tie-in to that new Batwoman series we were discussing the other day?

I'm not sure, I haven't heard much about that one. I'm tempted to pick up the Final Crisis arc now though, as that's the DC Universe arc in which Bruce Wayne dies.

These forums are becoming more comic than game, twisted and evil.
Seriously though, my brother will grab it. I don't read anything DC but I might for this.

Why are they killing so many comic characters off lately? Bruce Wayne shouldnt be killed unless its of old age. Batman Beyond actually did a good job of doing Batman after Batman. Only ting that show lacked were good villains

In a way, this whole Batman death thing feels like DC playing catch-up to Captain America's death. Hopefully they don't just do it for the shock value.
Death of Bruce Wayne? Err?
I mean, Batman is "dead" to all DC's heroes due to the events in Batman RIP and Final Crisis. So making another event to promote Bruce Wayne's death milking the cash cow further.

An old SNL/Weekend Tonight skit pretty much sums this up...
"Also this week saw the passing of comic book artist legend Jack Kirby at the age of 76.
His surviving family stated that there will be no plans for a funeral as he will be brought back to life in a future issue."
Also, if comic plot conveniences worked in real life then right about now Will Eisner will announce that he's returned from the grave thanks to (your favorite comic resurrection here) then goes looking for Frank Miller in order to slug him for messing up his creation The Spirit.
