As of this very second:
'60s: "Doctor Please" by Blue Cheer
'70s: "Be My Lover" by Alice Cooper
'80s: "Heat of the Moment" by Asia
'90s: "Boris" by the Melvins
'00s: "Old College Try" by The Mountain Goats
If we weren't limited to rock, I might have chosen Jacques Brel's "Amsterdam" for the '60s.

(I'm not too big on rock in the 1950s, so I'm instead going to go with a Jazz track)
'50s: Blue Monk, Thelonious Monk
(This one changes most days, although you can bet that it will definately be Dylan, and probably still on this album)
'60s: Highway 61 Revisited, Bob Dylan
(This is probably the best rock song ever, I can't be bothered putting the whole title, but this was poetry, Beat, fused with rock 'n' roll.)
'70s: Land, Patti Smith
(This is difficult, because there was a lot of great music made during the '80s, it just got buried under the crap. To make up for the fact I'm not really a mad guitar person, though, I choose this, probably my favourite 'guitar song' ever)
'80s: Trilogy, Sonic Youth
(This is when it gets truly difficult, all of my favourite music was made here! Because I'm listening to her, I'm choosing this track, which might be my favourite track ever, although not very 'rock'. I apologise to Bikini Kill too...)
'90s: Metal Heart, Cat Power
(Ok, this one was a little easier, this is the one song that can challenge Land for its title of best rock track ever. Also, it sounds even better in the context of its preceding track, so get the album, Sleater-Kinney deserve your love!)
'00s: Night Light, Sleater-Kinney
