Drum Problem

What's the best way to find out if my drums are messed up or if I just have crappy timing? I feel like i shouldn't be missing notes, but between every 10th and 15th note, at the longest, its misses, especially if it is a double note. Not sure what to do... thanks in advance.

Just start a song, or go into practice mode, and immediately do fast drum rolls (as fast as you can). If you can keep a fast steady beat, watch the "light" on the screen and see if any of your hits don't register -- or more likely, see HOW MANY of your hits aren't registering. It should only be fast rolls that aren't working, single hits are usually okay. So do it fast. Then do the tape-mod.
