Nope, you're pretty much out of luck until it's officially released in Canada.

Yeah, you won't. You're in the same boat as alot of Canadians (well actually non-Americans) who purchased the game, no warranty support from EA.

Crappy situation. Go out of your way to get the game early, only to not be able to play it cuz your guitar craps out and no replacement is available. Especially sucks for PS3 owners.

It is not a crappy situation, nor is it EA's problem. If you did not have the patience to wait until it was released in your region, oh well, you have to deal with the consiquence of your actions. They do not have to support it, nor do they have send replacements, into areas it has not been released yet.

So, WAIT until it is released in your region, and hope they don't request a recipt for warranty requests....

Regardless whose fault it is or anything else, it's still a crappy situation  Unless you'd actually enjoy being stuck with a broken guitar you can't get replaced and a game you can't play

Oddly enough I purchased it on the US release date here in Canada. I guess Microplay games never got the Memo the release date was moved.

No, if they had followed the release dates, then there would be no situation. Hence, they have no one bu themselves to blame...

Too Bad, So Sad(not really)....:p

I think I may have purchased an old kit as well, I need to confirm when I get home, I have the kinda unresponsive red drum....

If EA won't support us, I'll just do the easy fix, whenever a part fails, I'll just buy a new copy from a Canadian retailer (After Release) and stuff a faulty controller in the box and return it...

Let EA deal with the retailers taking back opened boxes with faulty hardware and unopened games ;)

...

Or bring back a Walmart USA purchase to Walmart Canada.... hey, they've done it before with no issues =)

LOL, I did purchase it at Walmart...hmm.

I will be doing what you said above though, when it's released here, EA can deal with it as an immediate return. I'm not going to bother going through their RMA replacement thingie when its finally active for Canadians. And just to ensure they really can't do anything about it, I'm buying my bundle at Future Shop with their 5 year replacement guarantee :) Yeah, so it'll cost an extra $100 but by the sounds of it, free guitar/drum replacements for 5 years ... $100 sounds really cheap.

you could always travel back to the U.S, if you arent too far away and return it to a store there. Or, if you know anyone living in the us, send them your guitar and have them do the warrenty for you. Otherwise, your out of luck
