mlb 2k7 on ps3

well folks i got a ps3 on november 20th (does the date sound familiar ;)) and only have one game which is the one mentioned in this thread title. now while i'm offering a challenge to anyone in these here forums who have this game i'm mainly gonna use this thread to ask wut ps3 games i should look into, and i don't mean future titles i mean **** thats out right now

i'm currently looking at fifa 08, ninja gaiden, that uncharted game, and call of duty 4 even though i have it already for 360. anything i'm missing that i should look into??

all your choices are pretty solid. I would go with CoD4 and Uncharted.

Why in the world did you get 2K7 and not MLB 07 The Show? Especially when 2K7 is better on 360 (based on the demos anyway).

Well look into: Heavenly Sword,Folklore,Warhawk,Motorstorm,F1 Championship and Time Crisis 4.

idk i saw mlb the show there but i wasn't sure if it was high quality or not. i remember back in the ps1 days that 969 studios or whatever blew so i wasn't sure :\

and i like the 360 version better too but i was on a budget and for some ******ed reason mlb2k7 was more expensive on the 360 and i desperately needed a game for the ps3 damn it

But apparently they will be few and far between, so if you don't have a pre-order I'd try to see if anywhere is still doing them.

probably wont' have enough money for a NEW game till like january anyway so its all good. i'm sure circuit city or best buy will have a copy by then. right now i'm looking at used games or old ass games that go for cheap (like mlb 2k7 which was $30)

I don't have any new suggestions to add, but to back up a few:

MLB 07 I liked more than MLB 2k7. But you can't really change that I guess.

Resistance is fun, if you like that type of thing. It was the first game I bought, and all I really played for a while.

Warhawk is a lot of fun. I randomly bought it out of boredom one day, and kind of hoped for the best. And then it ruined my life for a while, because I would try to find time throughout the day to squeeze in rounds. You can download it from the PS Store for $39, I think. It's multiplayer only, so you'll need/want to have your PS3 hooked up to play online if you play this, but once you start playing, it's like crack.

Uncharted I picked up last week, and beat earlier today. It only lasts about 8-12 hours, depending on how fast/slow you play, but its a lot of fun while it lasts. I never really play games more than once, but Uncharted was different. It was just so much fun to play that the second I beat it, I started playing it all over again -- partially to collect all the hidden treasure scattered throughout the game and to accomplish the in-game goals (both of which unlock stuff), but also because its just fun to play/watch.

Unreal Tournament III, is a future release, but I may pick it up (if EA sends me a free game, and then I take it to the store as an exchange).

Fifa 08 single-player gets kinda boring really fast but online play is really fun, if you really like soccer you should get it, if not then skip it.

if its cheap/used games you looking for you should check out Virtua Fighter 5, you can find for $40 new or $25-$30 used

^ ya i was mainly gonna get fifa 08 for the online cuz i have a few friends who have it on ps3 and i wanna own them :)

and about mlb07 its not taht i won't like it better i just didn't know if it was a quality game or not. but now that the baseball season is over and i already own a baseball game its kinda too late for me to buy it. i'll probably rent it and see wuts up

I might as well throw in my two cents here.

Games I would highly suggest: Uncharted, Warhawk, UT3 (in early December) and Resistance: Fall Of Man, if you can pick it up on the cheap.

Games totally worth a rent: Assassin's Creed, Heavenly Sword.
