Technically they can't say "Guitar Hero".

But we already got War Pigs (GHII), Ballroom Blitz (80's), and Synchronicity II (80's).

And it's be more than $20. I'd like to see some of it, but other songs I don't care much for.

As long as we can pick and choose individual songs, I'm all for it.

I think we may be screwed with GnR due to Slash's involvement with Gh3.

Far as I remember, Axl owns all the rights to the name "Guns N' Roses" and music copyrights as well. I don't think Slash has any authority there :)

if that's the case they might be over in Gh3 considering the bands logos and everyhting are plastered through-out the game.

band exclusivity is the next logical progression for competing music games.

I don't understand why people think offering previous Guitar Hero songs as DLC would be cheaper than other DLC. It's not. The songs have to be relicensed for Rock Band.

Reminds me of the other dude who posted here saying he'd even be willing to "pay money" if they would offer the tracks for download. What a hero.

I'll vote no for the Guitar Hero packs, just because if Harmonix tried to charge a reasonable price for them, the forums would be flooded with kids claiming that Harmonix should have given the songs away for free. Hopefully, the better songs will appear on their own, like War Pigs.

I demand GH1, GH2, GH:80's, and GH3 DLC. It must be for every instrument, and must cost $20 to buy every track from each respective game :D

Also remember that Slash is no longer in Guns N' Roses so it shouldn't be a problem with him causing it not to happen.

I'd buy it all, for a reasonable price. Unline Rocks the 80s (which was a rip off when it came out), I think it'd be perfectly fine for them to put up all 3 games for full price as DLC. $50 for the songs you love, but 2 more ways to play them? Each DLC pack (provided they put the entire game, or even put it out on disc) would be like an entirely new game.

It would be great to be able to download them as individual songs.

Yes! i really hope they release GH1, GH2, and GH:80's songs - not necessarily titled "Guitar Hero Packs" but just end up releasing all the songs.. i've been dieing to play some of those guitar hero 1 songs, and i would love to play the drums on some of the GH songs.. i say make a majority if not all AVAILABLE for download and let us pick and choose!

I think that's a poor reason to vote no, because you'll find that most of us understand that the old Guitar Hero games' existence doesn't mean that the songs can magically appear in Rock Band. I'm quite willing to pay normal DLC prices for GH songs, and can't imagine, in fact, how anyone could expect to pay less.

I don't imagine that the songs will exactly be showing up in a "Guitar Hero pack" if they become available, anyway. It'll be more like War Pigs showing up in the Sabbath pack, or Synchronicity II showing up in the Police Pack. And the songs can appear as individual DLC tracks, of course. I just want to play the old songs again (cause I don't have a PS2 any more, so my copies of the PS2 versions are all useless ><).
