Woohoo! Finally, I'm #1 at something!

Just snagged #1 in vocals on My Sharona with a score of 173,634. Yes, it's the easiest song this side of Blitzkried Bop, yes it's DLC which means many of the top leaderboard guys don't have it, but still, it's the first time I've been (temporarily, anyway) #1 in the world at something.

(Here's a hint to all you top vocals guys: it's not even 5 gold stars, even though it was a FC. Someone come take this from me quickly before my head swells to enormous proportions.)

Yeah, my ego was being stroked when my overall guitar solo rank hit the 50s.. (I think it was 56, but don't remember) But now that all the real players are starting to quit trying out the drums and come back to the guitar, checked my status today and I'm back to the 200s now.. :)

I got my overall into the 50s using only the hard mode.. :) Guess I need to start trying to really play them well in expert.. Was able to gain a few positions today playing expert.. I just can't play these things 24/7 like most of these expert FCing players.. So I'm sure I'll continue to fall like a rock.. :)

Out of curiosity, I checked how I did playing Bass on Hard for Heroes.

I was #2 on the list.

:) Nice.. I bet you can get the #1 before many more realise it's open.. You can then claim you're #1 position..

I always knew I couldn't sing worth a lick.. But, my family was out yesterday so I tried it out.. Yep, confirmed, I suck at singing.. :P I was able to finish a few songs on medium, but almost failed a couple before they family came back.. :)

Our band noticed we were #2 on heroes (out of a few thousand) so we said let's try the song again and get #1. Sure enough we did (quite easily I might add). The score hasn't updated yet, I worry it wasn't sent to rock central. O well.......

Well, just out of curiosity, I went back and tried it on Expert.

I still five-starred it, but my score was actually lower than it had been on Hard--I've played quite a bit today, and there wasn't much up-strum left in my hand. That and the drop I committed just as I activated overdrive--making my multiplier x2 instead of x12--made a pretty big difference.

I'm now in fourth place out of eleven, but if I can get a solid play-through on Expert, I might be able to manage the top score--he's actually less than 40,000 ahead of me.

i held the number one spot on mech assualt for a month once... constantly top ten. with the best kill to death ratio out there.. people hated my lil kitfox..

lol that was my only claim to fame in the video game world.. that was like 7 years ago lol.
