To use or not to use...

Here's the thing, I have a wireless Les Paul for my 360 and I've been using that. I actually prefer it to the mushy Fender. I've used it for about 2 hours today and either I just suck or my strum is going out already, and I vote for the second option. Should I just use the hell out of it so it breaks within my warranty period? Heck, should I do the same to my drums? It seems ridiculous that I even need to think about this.
