* somebody recommended this to me: go into training mode on guitar: and now just listen to how the bass and drums and playing
* now go and slow things down on drum training and increase the speed as you get more proficient.

Those practice sessions have helped me 'beat out' some players during drum duels.

Don't deploy Overdrive until you need it. Those sections take out some pretty hard fills.

My only suggestion is to go listen to the song. Over and over and over again. I don't mean listen to it in the game while trying to play it. I mean find the mp3 and listen to it. LOTS. That way you can concentrate on the song itself and not on the note chart flying at you. Once you learn the song and can tap along to it with your fingers, you'll be able to play it much easier.

all you need to do is keep over drive the entire song. if you get it, you always have some time to rest and time to prepare. you won't five star but your not good enough to five star, doesn't matter.
