I thought that with all of the Zappa fans on this forum, people would find this interesting (if they haven't already seen it). Zappa totally owns this fool. He is very very comfortable and this guy is just trying to rip him up in every way. It's very entertaining.

It's funny that artists like Zappa were the only ones that had any common sense about the whole PMRC thing.
It's hard to believe that just twenty years ago everyone's favorite Nobel prize winner, Al Gore, had nothing better to do than show Twisted Sister videos in senate hearings. Wonder if the earth was getting warmer during the 80s? The sad thing is that the "great debater" had his lunch handed to him by Dee Snider of all people.
I for one went on a personal mission to find the W.A.S.P. "Animal (F Like a Beast)" when the morons made them public enemy number one. I guess I showed them.

I've watched that so many times, never fails to entertain me. There's tons of good interviews with Frank debating the PMRC floating around. Some really good stuff. Man I miss him.

My exact everything, haha. Occasionally, I can find Frank Zappa's entire PMRC testimony on youtube, but parts seem to be periodically taken down and put back up. Always great stuff.

I just told this to my dad and about how Zappa made the others look like a fool he laughed and told me about when Dee Snider testified to congress about the censorship of Albums and made a fool of them like Zappa did on crossfire :D

Dee's testimony was great, too. They thought they brought in a fool that they could confound. He himself, put it best, though:
They contacted my management and wanted to know if I would come and testify, figuring, 'Let's get the most recognizable character in metal at the time and put him up there as the poster boy for censorship.' They were caught off guard, because they didn't know I spoke English fluently.

Agreed intelligent he definitely made them look like idiots
Bottom Line: Intelligent musicians know what they are talking about and will make people who do not realize how bright they really are feel like a moron

Yea , Dee's testimony was comic gold! Gold Jerry! Gold!:D It was every bit as good as Frank's was but for different reasons.

Especially since his music was attacked. This is the type of person they're trying to warn their children against and he proves himself more intelligent than them, haha.

lol yup. The actual testimony of Dee sometimes makes the rounds on you tube as well. Somwhere the transcript is posted as well.If I stumble across the links I'll post them. I remember talking to Dee about it one time and he was still so stunned that it was only himself Zappa and John Denver that turned up to defend rock music against the PMRC. it really is kind of weird that only those 3 guys turned up for it.

Credit to Zappa for staying on topic of lyrical content instead of debating over music videos, which was not the agenda topic of the program.

Yup! Always amused me when people would try to outsmart Frank in an interview or debate. :D
This one is a classic as well! "Frogwash I say!" LMAO!
