How does Xbox Live work w/Rock Band?

How exactly does Xbox Live factor in, with regards to leaderboards?

Does one member of the band have to have a gold account?
Does the leader of the band have to have a gold account?

I'm curious because our band's scores don't appear on the leaderboard and I'm wondering what the prerequisites for that are.

I'm not sure but even with a silver account it still should record your score! You either have to wait for it to update your stats or score higher to get on the leaderboards.

From what I've read in these forums, they will appear under the band leader's name. So I'd guess the band leader needs to have a Gold account...

I could very well be wrong though :)

Glad I got this for PS3. my 360 has given me nothing but trouble. Plus I heard the 360 version is wired. ouch! is that true?

What I have read on the forums is that one Gold user can have others play online with guest accounts. But silver/offline profiles cannot play online with that gold user.

But for leaderboards, what needs to happen? Does that gold user have to be the band leader? Do they have to be an original member of the band? Or do they just need to be playing with the band at some time, during which scores will be uploaded to the leaderboard?

I have a silver account and i play on xbox live.

1. Xbox 360 version guitar is Wired BUT comes with a usb hub

2. Live factors in as the leader ie: player one needs a gold account but can add guests and take them online with him/her

I have a gold account on my 360 and bought a memory card so I can take my account to my friend's. For our band to appear on the leaderboards, do I have to be the band leader? Or will they show up if I'm just one of the band members?
