Lyrics Without Pitch Bar...?

So I'm enjoying every aspect of the game so far except for two things: the ******ed strum bar on the Strat and the fact that I can't seem to get "Awesomes" on vocals when the pitch bar goes away. I sing the lyrics as close as possible to the actual track, but I can't seem to hit them consistently for some reason. The manual has been completely useless on this issue, but I'm sure someone here has to know the answer.

When the words just come across the bottom you sing them at any pitch you want, just make sure they are the right length. I think thats all there are to those.

I think the key to those sections is actually saying the words correctly and somewhat clearly.

Those parts are the easiest because you just simply say the words on the screen, no singing is needed just make sure you are basically saying the right words.

Just make sure you're singing at the right tempos on them and you'll be fine

Timing is most important for those parts, and then diction. I also find that overall, pronouncing the vowels is more important than the consonants.
