View Full Version : Worst Concert Ever

It's official, I'm about to see the worst gig of my life. I've acquired free Mötley Crüe tickets (corporate box, valet parking, all that jazz), which I'm kind of excited to see in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way. I absolutely loved them back when I was a teenager, and it should be quite enjoyable if only for the nostalgia factor.

Now I just checked out the opening acts. The Last Vegas, Theory of a Deadman and Hinder.

Wow. And I can't even ignore the band and chat with my friend since we don't have the box to ourselves exclusively. As shocking as it may seem, someone in there might actually want to see these... guys. Looks like I'm going to be spending three opening acts drinking overpriced beer and eating suspicious arena food.

This ends my life sharing episode for the day.

Well the good side is we'll probably end up drunk when Crüe hits the stage. That can only be good ;)

Hinder AND Theory of a Deadman

those two combined are almost worse than Nickelback

Theory of a deadman is horrid, and hinder is even worse.

Sell the tickets? Then go buy a concert and stay home and watch it and still profit!!!

i don't think that would be the worst concert ever. It's not the best, but it's not the worst.

The worst concert ever would be something around the lines of Britney Spears and Nickelback. Or Studioforce and Nickelback. yeah, i think the 2nd would be the worst.

*Edit* also considering by exactly what you are saying, this is the worst concert ever, including that Motley Crue sucks. At least that's what i get by your logic.

Theory of a Deadman is just a crappy offshoot of Nickelback.

I wouldn't mind seeing Motley or The Last Vegas - didn't they do Raw Dog, one of the bonus songs in GH2? I could pass on Theory and Hinder, though.

I've seen them three times actually. They're hillarious live and seeing the Decline live is one of the coolest things ever.

Beat that..... if you can.

Why? Who are they opening for.

I hope you love rape, because that's what you may witness.... they covered the Ramones and Elvis.

I still think Hollywood Undead and Brokencyde are worse when together.

i think the worst serious band (ie. not composed of teenagers) i've ever seen live was the unicorns.

it's the only time i went into a show enjoying a band's recorded output and then knowing i would never want to listen to them again after leaving the show.

elfreako
03-06-2009, 01:36 AM
I must admit Hollywood Undead and brokenCYDE would have been worst.

And for the record I was refering to MY worst concert ever. Hard to beleive I actuall have to explain that.

Motley Crue should be a blast though. My friend's in the process of reading Sixx's biography and will probably be telling me all these innapropriate stories for everyone in the private box to hear :)

I guess we could arrive later, but there is something even more boring than Theory of a Deadman and Hinder combined... and that's spending time in Kanata.

Woah wait what? The Unicorns as in the Montreal band? The one that pretty much turned into Island?

EDIT: Worst concert until next Tuesday for me was Sisters of Mercy. Absolute disappointment.

yep, that's them...
aside from just playing terribly beyond compare they acted like total jackasses and forced us to endure a horrid DJ set before their set started as well.

I have yet to go to a bad concert that wasn't just some local band.

Though the worst was a local band down at Indiana Beach, they tried Santana and Pink Floyd, and...failed....miserably....

Wow. Well good news is they don't exist anymore, but I did intend on seeing them (Island) live at some point. I absolutely love their stuff, but now you scare me.

I've heard terrible comments on Animal Collective live. Luckily I passed on that evening.

strange, because i think animal collective put on a fantastic show.
i've seen them three times and each has been great (though i do think they've gone downhill over the past few years).

Well the good side is we'll probably end up drunk when Crüe hits the stage.

So will Vince. My friends and I always enjoy playing the how drunk is Vince Neil Game at Crue shows. You can gage it on how many words he sings. If he's hitting every third word he's actually sober. Anything below that he's drunk. If you can't understand a word he's singing and he's way out of sync he's plastered. If all the words are clearly audible and they are on key then he's lip syncing to a DAT. :D

Well if we are on the "Worst" Concerts ever, i think i would have to go with Kingdom Come ( Who where the best at the show ) Warrant, and Poison.
Warrant blew, and it turned me against them after this concert, ( Still like there early CD's though ) and poison where just "HAMMERD", CC, made the guitar cry, and then i almost whep for him, it sucked so bad, Bret on the other-hand was sober, and just couldn't hold it together, and Bobbie passed stra8t the hell out in the middle of a song. ( The 4th song to be precise ) Had to get a guitar tech out to finish the show. We walked out while they where hauling Bobbie out off the stage.

From the sounds of it that would have been The Flesh and Blood Tour for Poison, Benson? 1990ish?

You had better not be in my corporate box sunshine. I am a long time Crue fan, was from the day of the first ep right up to the new album - And I happen to enjoy Hinder.
Wouldn't want to have to toss a Quebecer out of my box...again...but I would.

I haven't been to a huge amount of concerts, but I can't say there's been a concert I've been thoroughly disgusted with, although there are some I like more than others. My favorite would have to be the Neil Young concert I saw last December.
