Microphone Adapters broken?

Ok, the little black microphone adapters do not work...with the drums, or the guitar, or even if I try to plug them into the controller...
they just don't work. At least I assume it's them.. I would hate to think the drums and guitar ports are broken or something..

and to make matters worse, the support site has no option for this problem.

Same problem here - can't get the headset to work with the guitar or drums, and it doesn't work when I connect it to the controller using the adapter, either. Very interested to hear what this problem is all about.

Well, something is going on with mine. When I play BWT quickplay over XBOX Live with guys on my friends list, I get (or I should say THEY get) feedback if I plug in my headset with the adapter into the mic port on the drumset. Sorry, long sentence.

I can hear them, but they can't hear me. Even if I plug a headset into a standard wireless controller. I still hear them, but they can't hear me. "shrugs shoulders". I don't know what's going on.

But something is working with the mic port on the drumset.. feedback for them.
