Has the guitar overdrive sensor been fixed?

My guitars overdrive is all but dead. I can point it straight up and shake it and it still won't activate. Then, maybe after 10 tries, it will activate while I'm put the guitar back into the horizontal position.

Is this a common problem? If so, has it been fixed on newer model guitars?

I have this problem on a replacement guitar they sent me, so it appears it may not have been addressed in their guitars. Though this problem is not as widespread as the strum problem.

i have the same problem on the current strat im using, which is having strum issues... it does however activate when i hit the back button or sometimes it will activate on its own which can be annoying at times but i'll live with it until the replacement gets here...ordered the replacement on the 24th...didn't do the express credit card so its something i have to deal with until that time

I have the problem with my replacement guitar, and oddly enough with my original guitar too...
