Yeah, I would ignore that.

I remember back around Christmas in 2005, I heard an employee at Gamestop tell a guy that the PS3 was coming out in 2 months when everyone knew that was a load of bull.

Yeah.. a Gamestop employee swore to me that my PS3 GH3 controller "worked fine" with Rock Band on PS3 when I picked it up, despite everyone knowing that it didn't several days before release. He insisted that he saw it work himself. After I returned to the store for another reason, the same guy was there. I mentioned that the Les Paul did not, in fact, work for PS3 Rock Band and he again insisted that it worked flawlessly. When I pressed him, he conceded that he hadn't actually seen it work on PS3, but had seen it work on Xbox 360. I just thought that was funny, myself.
