Forum time zone correction way off

When signing up for the forums, I entered my time zone -- US Pacific time (GMT -8) -- in my profile, but the forum said it was 1:22 AM when it was really 11:22 AM. I had to change my profile to say I'm in Europe (GMT +2) for the forum to show the correct time. What's the deal?

It's a bug that never bothered to get fixed. When the site changes over soon the bug will have been worked out says HMXJonhlok (mod)
