I would like to know why I can not buy this game anywhere. Is it freaking being done on purpose to build up a large demand? You telling me that the publisher could not produce enough knowing that this game would be a hit? I think it is pure bull$!%%. It really angers me that my local Gamestop did not get enough to cover the damn pre-orders which I participated in. I am sick of companies who do this. It should be outlawed. Screw this game I will spend my $170.00 on something else.

Umm, good for you. Making the peripherals is time consuming. They can't make an infinite number of drum kits and guitars. If you were too lazy to get off your ass at launch and are too impatient to wait, fine. But nobody here wants to hear your whining.

I saw 2 in my Walmart last night for 360 and 3 PS3s in Best Buy.

Thank you for the productive post.

Also take into consideration 2 facts.

1) Gamestores aren't generally the biggest, so having alot of Rock Band's is unlikely.
2) The game ships with 3 Periphals.

Screw you did you read my post? I pre-ordered it!!!!!!! I expected Gamestop to have it. When I was told they didn't get enough I searched every where. What an ass you are. Time consuming to make peripherals? Uh it is done on a production line they just did not make enough. You are pathetic. Attacking me for no reason.

You are pathetic coming on here to attack to game makers when GameStop screwed you over, not them. GameStop took too many pre-orders.

Also, so, production lines are able to produce how many units a day? They shipped like 113,000 units. Oh, I forgot, they should have magical production lines that produce 50,000 instruments a minute.

Exactly. Your beef is with GameStop. They are notorious for doing this. You might want to change who you buy your video games from if this keeps happening.

My GameCrazy didn't get my pre-ordered PS3 version in on the 20th but did on the 21st and gave me 10 dollars off.

Personally, I get 99% of my games from Best Buy. No pre-order BS, tons of copies of everythings, the Reward Zone program, and the employees are annoying, elitist, dicks that alway want to convinces me to sell my games and buy a different console than I own.

Whatever the reason may be the publisher did not produce enough units for the demand. Also reading many posts on all the problems with this game leads me to believe that they hurried this game out the door to make in time for the holiday shopping frenzy. Now judging by the couple of rude comments I can also see that this forum is young and inconsiderate.

Actually they will probably be making peripherals for several months after release to get enough out. So it's not an issue of them just stopping production, it's an issue of not making them fast enough. Gamestop just didn't get enough to cover the pre-orders.

Visit the tech support forum here and take a look at how many people have broken their instruments and are waiting for repairs. I imagine all those new instruments they're building that would ordinarily be getting packaged up to sell brand new are now going to all their customers who received the flimsy instruments that broke within days of getting the game.

When you take that into account, remember two things:

1. This will cause delays
2. At least you're waiting for a new game, and not some broken instruments you got on launch day like a bunch of us are.

Do you cry this much when your mommy won't let you have a cookie before dinner too?

Your beef is not with HMX, it's with Gamestop. I saw tons of news reports before the game launched saying that RB would be in limited supply. Guess you missed those. I didn't pre order and my Gamestop had 7 copies for the 360 on black Friday and my Best Buy has had an endless supply in store.

Best Buy has a whole lot of bundles. And just so you know, a company cannot put all their money on a new game thinking that they are going to sell a lot of copies. The first time it will be a limited number and if there is a lot more demand they will make more and more.
