Please Don't Panic.
For those who don't know, the fourms were down for 12+hours and it just came back up about 5-10 minutes ago.
Any clue what happened?

Nothing exciting happened. Just web tech stuff that I won't even pretend to understand.
Please resume posting as normal. :)

It's convenient how the forums are up just as soon as I got home.
Alright.....who bumped the switch into the OFF position? Crazy tech people and their crazy parties. Sheesh.

Next thing you know, HMXHenry will tell us 2 + 2 = 5 .
DOWN WITH BIG BROTHER!
I'm beginning to think it was HMXHenry that accidently turned off the server.

You never realize how much time you waste on a website until it's down. Clicking my RB button and seeing an error 50 times over the last 12 hours made me realize that maybe I have a problem. At least it's a delicious problem.

Oh, but did you go out and have lunch or did you eat that cold piece of pizza that you packed away in the fridge for lunch? Haha.
I will give a cookie to anybody who gets the 3 Literary/TV references I have on the first page of this thread.

I'm sure you could come up with a cool excuse:
"I just finished the endless setlist and did a stage dive onto the servers. They did not put their hands up..."

It was kind of weird to have the forums go down.
I went to bed at a decent time, left for work early, and was really focused till now.

I used to tell my boss things like we were using the ethernet cables to the server to play jump rope because we were bored

True story: At a company I used to work for years ago, the admins were having a devil of a time figuring out why the web server would go offline every Thursday night at 11:15 PM sharp. Every week, like clockwork.
After like 3 weeks, somebody actually stayed in the datacenter that night to see what the hell was going on, and discovered that the janitor who came in weekly was unplugging the server to plug in his vacuum.

Is this the same janitor that kept unplugging the plugs in the ICU at the hospital I used to work at?
