I bought Rock Band three weeks ago. Ya, I know, it's been out for awhile now. I have to manage the priorities of an adult life. However the price of Rock Band 1 has dropped to the point where I could not turn it down.

Alright, I know others have had issues with the equipment but this is just not funny....

I have had the following issues:

Drums:

Green Pad seem much more unresponsive then the rest of the heads. I managed to self adjust myself when drumming minimize the effect of this. Still unacceptable though. Hitting the drums at a normal pressure causes way to much noise which drowns out the game music unless played at insane volume levels. (and bugging everyone else in the house) 2 weeks after bringing the drums home the foot pad stopped working. For what ever reason pressing on it just does nothing anymore.

Guitar:

Tilt does not work at all. No matter how much you try the only way to use overdrive is the select button. To be honest after getting used to using select I would rather use it than the tilt. But still... I would like the option to use tilt.

Mic:

Half second delay when using the mic. Turning Dolby Surround off seems to lessen this issue. The mic is WAY too hard to hear. Even when volume is turned up to max. Anyone have an suggestions on this?

Called tech support and having a new foot pad sent to me. I have a feeling however this has more to do with the connection to the heads and not the petal itself, but the tech support person informed me "it was a shot in the dark" and either could be at fault.

Did not bother to get the guitar replaced.

What I did not like was how it was suggested by the support person that I should go out and buy a Rock Band 2 drum set. I mean, it's alright for a company to improve on older models. But if the first model is so substandard why was it released in the first place and why is it allowed to be sold still? I mean, I really don't want to spend $89 dollars right now on a new drum set when I just spend $139 three weeks ago on the whole set.

I'd get an RMA in for the drum kit and the guitar, you're still in warranty and that's more likely to give you a good result. If you start tinkering with the innards of the controllers you run the risk of voiding your warranty.
