I was looking to replace my broken pedal and guitar with EA, but before I do I was wondering, is a receipt required to be included with the gear that I send back? Because I think I may have thrown it away, but I was checking before I went through the return process, only to find out I have to go out and buy new stuff.

No it is not. I had to do a replacement for my Guitar and they didn't once ask for the receipt. They figure the game just came out and they know everyone is well within their warranty period of course. If you do an advance exchange they do require a credit card. That part isn't a big deal though. Once the item is shipped it is via 2nd Day Air as well.

Well, that's good, considering in the last day or so my Guitar Hero 3 guitar stopped functioning as well, and I guess I didn't save that receipt either, which, even though the game came out less than 2 months ago, voids my ability to take advantage of their 60 day warranty. So at least I'm not completely screwed...

i dont use my guitar too much yet, and am worried itll break after the warranty ends.
