I know I may get slammed for this, but I would like to see a pack or two of Christian Rock music for RB. We have Flyleaf's "I'm So Sick," but in a family environment, it would be cool to be able to buy a pack of a few more songs.

I recommend anything by:
DecembeRadio
Day Of Fire
Pillar
Decyfer Down
Red
Skillet
...and more Flyleaf

I believe that there is a decent size market for a good 5 or 6 song pack in this genre.

Thanks

suggest bands because they're good, not because they're christian, and i'll listen. i dont give a **** about christianity. if it is good music, go for it, but don't suggest a band because it is a christian band. otherwise im going to petition for an atheist music pack.

i am a christian.
i've argued in a few christian threads because it really irritates me when people bash christians because we have something to live for.

anyways.

i agree with that guy up there.
if you just said the name of these bands, and not christian, then all the ignorant athiests wouldn't flame ya.

lets give this a try..

Heres my ULTIMATE SETLIST!
REALLY GOOD BANDS

maylene and the sons of disaster
the chariot
twelve gauge valentine
the showdown
and showbread
----------------

see!!! i didnt even say the word CHRISTIAN
so now maybe the ignorant athiests will check these bands out instead of telling us how dumb we are because we have a relationship with our MAKER.

the end.

Actually you said Christian quite a few times in there. Oh and for your future reference, don't call athiests ignorant. Chances are your just as ignorant in thier eyes as they are to you. So you just make yourself and your religion to look foolish. Which pretty much the bible in fact is foolish, considering it was written and revised by man. I have a relationship with my maker too...they are called mom and dad. ;)

At least Christians have soemthing to look forward to after death. Plus there are plentiful good songs that Christian artist have created. When God comes you all will take back what you say, but by then it will be all to little to late.

What makes you think that? A book that men wrote, revised, and taught? Awesome, I'll read moby dick and teach is as a religion.

STOP IT WITH YOUR CRAPPY RELIGION!!!

C'mon Transbrak, do you not have anything better to do then harass Christian threads with the same ol' lines. You probably wake up everyday hating life, and you want to take it out on the Christians. Maybe you had a bad experience as a little boy, but ignorant statements make you sound like a fool.

Bottom line, so what if someone is asking for Christian Rock, and so what if its spreading the word, and so what if its a religeon. We live in a free society, and we can listen to whatever we want. Perhaps in your perfect world, everyone would look like you, talk like you, and want the same DLC on your favorite game Rock Band, just like you do. Too bad you can't marry yourself, but you would probably be against that too huh.

You guys don't have to flame Religions. I mean it's bad enough already you don't believe in it. But that doesn't give you the ticket to go and burn it down. I mean it's a free country do what you will, but let us do what we want without interference? I don't make fun of your atheism, do I? Didn't think so.

Thats why theres hatred aimed at Christians. They say it's bad to not believe in their religion and that others will suffer eternal damnation in a place the others don't believe in, which in my opinon counts as forcing religion down peoples throats.

I could just as easily say "Quit copying my religion damnit" to any Christian.

Also, people are mad when you request "Christian Music" instead of saying music by *insert Christian band name here*. See, when you request music because of a bands religion it will anger people.

Really, how you feel if you saw "This game needs Satanic music that praises Satan"

no accually i love life, i would rather not be a slave to a controlling cult, concerned with political power and making themselves look better. Fact is "christian rock" threads have been made have been shot down. I think you are the one insecure in that you rely on fiction to get thru your every day. this isnt a religious forum its a music forum, as said before request bands not religions.

...i would rather not be a slave to a controlling cult, concerned with political power and making themselves look better

But...you are. By being 'offended' when anyone brings up religion, you are empowering that 'cult' you hate. Anytime you try to lash-out at people who have beliefs you’re powering those beliefs more by forcing others of like minds to bind together.

And furthermore, what makes this "man-made" fact of life any less real than the mystical being you pay taxes to(and if you are in the USA with money that says In God We Trust on it) for every purchase and buck you make. I mean, I never see the tax man but the penalty for not following his rules are pretty real.

And finally what’s more foolish, the person who Believes in things unseen or the one that doesn't and gets mad cause someone else does?

As life begins to slip from you, agnostic, atheist and religious alike...you will ALL cry out to your Maker...the difference is the strength of your life’s devotion will be the volume of your voice.

Oh I see, but Christian is also a music genre. It can also refer to gospel, church music, and rockalike music bands at the same time. When he put Christian Rock Music he wasn't trying to thrash other religion's rather than just trying to point out a genre that should be brought into the game's downlodable content.

Most of you should read the rules.

I agree. I don't actually know any Christian rock groups, but I know a couple of songs that I think Christians will probably like which are good enough to make it into a DLC.

How about "Spirit in the Sky (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=187583573&s=143441&i=187583901)" for example? Awesome song, which just happens to talk about Jesus a bit.

And I for one would love to see rock operas in general, but "Jesus Christ Superstar (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?id=7302477&s=143441)" specifically. Come on, "Heaven On Their Minds" and "Simon Zealotes" just rock. Though I do think that really doing King Herod's song properly would require adding a dance pad to the peripheral mix...

riginal

Spirit in the Sky is an awesome song. Now the reason that it is a good song has nothing to do with religion.

If you have specific Christian bands that you want in the game , why don't you make a thread for those bands ? Repeatedly asking for "Christian Rock Music" implies that you really don't care what the songs are as long as they are about Jesus.

Anyway, I'm an atheist so maybe that's the issue, but I think its kind of silly to classify music by any religious content. I don't like Nine Inch Nails(for example) because its "Atheist Rock Music".

The truth of the matter is that if you wanted to talk about specific Christian bands, the people like me will stay out of your thread because we probably don't know who you're talking about.

i feel sorry for you dude, too blind to see what you believe is a figment of someones imagination.

He sewed his eyes shut because he is afraid to see
He tries to tell me what I put inside of me
Hes got the answers to ease my curiosity
He dreamed up a God and called it christianity
Your God is dead and no one cares
If there is a hell I will see you there
He flexed his muscles to keep his flock of sheep in line
He made a virus that would kill off all the swine
His perfect kingdom of killing, suffering and pain
Demands devotion atrocities done in his name
Your God is dead and no one cares
Drowning in his own hypocrisy
And if there is a hell I will see you there
Burning with your God in humility
Will you die for this?

First off, since I am the thread starter, I will apologize for starting the thread, and for wording it how I did.

I should have brought up a thread that pre-existed, I didn't realize it was such a big deal to have more than one. When I type in "Disturbed" under search, 247 threads pop up. 77 threads pop up when typing Christian. There are so many posts on this forum that it's almost pointless to post anyway, but I like the bands I posted, which is why I posted them. However, when recommending bands in the future, I will use existing threads. Everyone should probably stick to that as it will cut down on the amount of threads here.

Second of all, the reason I titled it "Christian Rock Music" is so that only people FAMILIAR with some of this music would even be interested in looking at the thread. I didn't realize that such a large amount of people cared about hating on a particular genre, even though lyrics are not shoving any religion down any throats, they just are positive in lyrical content (which is why Christian artists such as Flyleaf, Red, POD, Switchfoot, etc etc etc get mainstream play). So are some non-Christian bands lyrics (IE - about half of Collective Soul's music, and there are many more). To me, I could care less what the artist writing or playing the music believes. I listen to music as it pertains to MY life and entertains me in the process. After all, it is all entertainment.

Lastly, Christians that bash atheists are no better than anyone that bashes Christians. And... that is pretty much self-explanitory. Alot of posts in this thread, along with others, especially pertaining to religion and lack-thereof have been very childish and stupid. In the normal adult world, we respect other people's views and put our differences aside to get along.

That's just not rock.
