Dead whammy bar

does anyone have a completely collapsed whammy bar? my guitar hero guitar's have loose whammy bars but never completly sunken in like the rock band guitar. I have to lift it and lower in order to even start the whammy and it falls onto the switch while playing.:mad:

Its something that is done by too much force on the whammy bar. Its possibly a manufacturing defect and they will most likely replace it free but I have only seen it happen with force on the guitar hero 1guitar

I don't fully understand your problem. Please try to go as in-detail as you can, and always use proper grammar. As far as your controller goes, you're definitely going to want to have a look at the Rock Band Warranty (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=11936) to see if your issue is covered.

The whammy bar goes completely inside the guitar as i understand it. I've seen the issue before with guitar hero guitars so maybe thats why i understand

then again, maybe i understood it wrong

Yep, my whammy bar broke 5 days after I got the game. Strum bar followed suit a couple days after.

Order a replacement, and in the meantime, put one end of a rubberband on the whammy bar, and the other on the nub for the guitar strap. Viola! Good as new.

This happened to me too, and I'm sending it back to get a new guitar.
