Welcome to Day 54, Band 8 of the Fantasy All-Star Rock Band Challenge!
Congrats to Rancid's MATT FREEMAN, who joins the band on bass guitar!
Since this has obviously evolved into a punk band, I'm going to forgo the usual Keyboardist voting round and instead allow you to vote for a second guitar/rhythm guitar, since very few punk outfits would be caught dead with synths.
So pick a RHYTHM GUITARIST for the band! Doesn't necessarily *have* to be someone who plays/played rhythm exclusively -- any second guitarist will work.
Again, you can't select from the retired band members list:
Frank Zappa
John Petrucci
Neil Peart
John Entwistle
Keith Emerson
Robert Plant
Jeff Beck
Bill Ward
Jack Bruce
Ray Manzarek
Rob Halford
Dave Mustaine
Scott Ian
Steve Harris
Dave Lombardo
Ann Wilson
Steve Howe
Stewart Copeland
Geddy Lee
Rick Wakeman
Roger Daltrey
Eric Clapton
Keith Moon
Paul McCartney
Rod Argent
Freddie Mercury
Mick Ronson
Ian Paice
Dennis Dunaway
Brian Eno
Ronnie Van Zant
Duane Allman
Hughie Thomasson
Frank Beard
Berry Oakley
Buddy Brayfield
Day 1: Vocalist: Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys)
Day 2: Guitarist: Mick Jones (The Clash, Big Audio Dynamite)
Day 3: Drummer: Earl Hudson (Bad Brains)
Day 4: Bassist: Matt Freeman (Rancid)
Day 5: Rhythm Guitarist: ???
Day 6: Songwriter(s): ???
Day 7: Name This Band!

Good luck, and happy voting! (Voting closes at ***10 PM EST*** tomorrow.)

I originally had this in my first post, but I believe it will be noticed more as it's own post.
We bypassed Keyboard, but Paul Roessler would work perfectly

If we were going with keyboards, I'd probably have voted for Mark Mothersbaugh or Stan Ridgway, but Devo and Wall of Voodoo (and the band Roessler was part of, which I've never seen before) veers a lot more into New Wave than punk.
The band's been hardcore punk so far, so I left keyboards out because that would really change the direction of the band dramatically.

Understandable, but Screamers were hardly a New Wave band. In fact, Jello Biafra credits them with being one of DK's biggest influences as well as being the influence for many other punk bands in California in the late 70's and early 80's. Roessler actually played as a guest keyboadist on Stealing People's Mail (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4snrxiX37k). I guess I showed that video just to show that it is possible to play punk with keyboards and it would actually be a good part for the band.

Do you really want Cornell to join the un-selectable roster just so he can play rhythm in a punk band?
