Since I got this game, several thoughts and such have come to mind. I'd like to share them, maybe get some insight on some things....so I will keep posting in here.

I have the PS3 version.

For starters, my guitar is already screwing up(got the game Friday) and my drum pedal already has small hairline cracks.

My question for the guitar is, if I get it replaced(plan to do that tomorrow)will the one they ship not have that problem at all?(the strum issue)

As for the pedal....I would think that it doesn't matter if it gets replaced, cause it's not really a design flaw....it's plastic so it's gonna break...so I am not sure what to do about it..maybe go the route everyone else is taking and add something over the plastic like a piece of metal or something.

I would be interested in someone doing that for me though.

As for the game, the only issues I have are....I really WISH I could play full on Band World Tour by myself if needed....cause I don't have anyone to play the game with all the time, that couldn't be that hard to do could it?

Plus, it would be nice if there was a way to talk to ppl online that you play with....

And.....my big question, lol...what the hell is that static vocal thing? What does it do?

The others I will ignore for they have been greatly discussed in other areas.

Static vocals stops the vocals from scrolling across the screen. An entire line appears at the bottom, and a word turns green when it is supposed to be sung.

Learn to play one of the instruments and sing at the same time :)

Lol....I just noticed that the crack on my pedal is getting worse, now I am AFRAID to play it anymore....

Seriously.

Decided to reinforce it with two thin pieces of wood and some tape so I wouldn't void the warranty....has this worked for anyone else?

Oh and thanks for answering my question about the vocals.

No cracks yet, but some serious bending and noisy-ness out of it for me. Especially on stuff like Metallica. I'm definitely considering one of those metal plates as a precaution. Would like to see some testimonial from somebody who has used it over time. My main concern is that the added wait to the pedal could lead to future stress fractures in the base.

I had a hairline fracture in my pedal. I taped up a couple of thin pieces of metal and it seems to helping. The only place where it might break now is near the joint, and even then.. I reinforced that slightly with duct tape.

My pedal certainly isn't pretty though.

I was thinking the metal plate route too. It would be nice if Harmonix and ea did this themselves, cause more plastic will just break over and over again. Surely they have thought about this.

I sure hope they don't go the total BS route and release a "Deluxe" pedal made of metal that runs like $50. Though, given how they've handled the issues thus far, seems like EA isn't being their normal, evil selves.

Best thing to do is get somebody to mod a metal bass pedal for you and as for playing BWT alone, just play lead guitar and sing. It's actually fun to play two things at once, just start slow and work your way up.

Lol....I am good with the guitar, can manage even with the broken down strum, but the singing......i dunno, I sound like a dying dog or somethin.

Can't be worse than my friend at my party. Sad thing is, he was having so much fun doing it.

You know, I personally think there should be a recall on the pedals....breaking is bound to happen, no matter what I think. Especially if you have lots of ppl playing.

I honestly think the guitars should have been recalled to, cause it seems almost all of them were bad.

I think it's just easier for them to handle them as they break. It's very likely that all the defective guitars and pedals will come back to them before the warranty period is up.

True, I suppose you are right on that.....like I said, hopefully they better address the pedal than just sending another of the same type out.

Hooray, now it seems that my drum pad isn't registering very well. seems to be either the red or yellow pad. Gonna test it out some more tomorrow to make sure.
